Business and company cars

Driving for an organization: company cars, business and personal trips, and what your employer sees.

Dieser Artikel ist noch nicht übersetzt und wird deshalb auf Englisch angezeigt.

When a company runs its cars on Marque, its fleet manager invites the people who drive them. You record trips exactly as you always do. The difference is the car: pick a company car and the trip goes into the organization’s logbook.

Joining an organization

Your fleet manager sends you an invite link. Open it on your phone and Marque shows you which organization it is, the role you’d have, and exactly what that organization will be able to see. Joining is your consent to that, so read it before you tap Join. You can leave from Settings, under Business, at any time.

Business or personal

A trip in a company car counts as business unless you say otherwise. When you finish, the Business trip switch is on. Turn it off for a private trip, such as the weekend you’re allowed the van.

  • Business trips stay private. They’re never posted, never ranked, and don’t count toward your stats, badges or month in review.
  • Personal trips in a company car are yours: they count like any other drive, and the organization sees only the date, the distance and the odometer.

What your organization sees

For a business trip: the route, the times, the distance, your speed, and harsh braking or cornering. The route is trimmed by your privacy zone, the same as anything you share. Managers see these for every driver; a driver sees only their own.

Gut zu wissen

Your organization never sees your heart rate, and never sees drives in your own cars. Those stay exactly as private as they were.

Running an organization

Managers work from the web: the Business dashboard has the fleet, the drivers, maintenance due, and a mileage logbook you can download as a spreadsheet. New organizations are switched on by us, so get in touch once you’ve created one.
