Getting started with Marque for business
From a new organization to your first logged drive: add the cars, invite the drivers, connect your tools.
Cet article n’est pas encore traduit ; il s’affiche donc en anglais.
A new organization starts empty. Two things fill it: the cars, and the people who drive them. Once a driver records a trip in a company car, the dashboard, the logbook and the reports all start counting. The overview walks you through it with a short checklist that goes away on its own once the first drive is in.
1. Add your cars
A make and model is all a car needs. Add the plate too, since that’s how drivers tell two of the same model apart, and the odometer if you want the logbook to start from the right number. Pick whichever way suits the size of your fleet.
- By hand. Open Cars and use Add a car. Quickest for a handful.
- With Apex. Press ⌘J on the dashboard (or Ask Apex on the overview) and paste your list as it is: a column copied from a spreadsheet, an email, a few lines typed out. Apex reads it, shows you every car it’s about to add, and saves nothing until you press Confirm. See Apex in the dashboard.
- From an AI assistant or your own script. For a big fleet, or one that already lives in another system. See Connect your tools.

2. Invite your drivers
- Open People and create an invite link. You choose the role it gives, how many people can use it and when it expires.
- Send it round however you like: email, chat, the team group.
- Each driver opens it on their phone, signs in to the Marque app (or creates an account) and taps Join. Before joining, they see exactly what the organization will be able to see.
Drivers are free on every plan. To give someone a car of their own, assign it on the car’s page. Everyone else takes a pool car in the app when they set off.
3. The first drive
A driver starts a drive in the app as usual and picks the company car. When they finish, the trip lands in the organization: on the overview, under Drives, and in that car’s logbook. Trips are business by default, and a driver can mark one as personal. Business and company cars covers the driver’s side in full, which makes it a good link to send along with the invite.
Apex in the dashboard
Apex is the assistant built into the business dashboard. Open it with ⌘J, the button in the header, or the command palette. It can look at everything you can see (cars, drivers, drives, costs, the logbook) and make changes for you: add or update cars, plan delivery runs, decide expenses, close logbook months. It always shows the change as a card first, and nothing happens until you confirm it. Apex comes with the Team plan and above, and with the trial.
4. Connect your tools (optional)
Everything the dashboard does, your other tools can do too. All of it lives under Settings › Developer.
- MCP connects Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and other assistants to the organization. Ask one to “add these 40 cars” and it calls Marque for you. The Developer page has a ready-made snippet for each assistant. Connecting AI assistants.
- The API is for your own scripts and systems. Create an organization key with the
vehicles:writescope and send each car toPOST /api/v1/open/org/vehicles. The API reference, linked from the Developer page, lists every field. API keys and webhooks. - Webhooks tell your systems the moment something happens, such as a drive finishing or an alert firing.
Hiding the guide
The checklist on the overview disappears by itself once you have a car, a driver and a drive. To put it away sooner, press Hide. It stays hidden for every manager in the organization. To bring it back, open the command palette with ⌘K and choose Show the getting-started guide.
