Privacy and who can see you

Posting a single drive is covered in sharing your drives. This page is about the bigger switches - the account-level settings that decide how far anything you post can travel, and how Marque protects sensitive places automatically. You will find these under Settings → Privacy.

Private account

The main switch. With a private account, only followers you have approved can see your posted drives and profile; a request to follow you has to be accepted first. Turn it off and your posted drives can be seen by anyone and can surface in Explore. Your unposted drives stay private either way - this only ever governs the drives you chose to post.

Discoverable as a driver

Separate from the private switch, discoverable as a driver decides whether you show up when other people are looking for drivers to follow - in Explore and in search. Leave it off to stay reachable only by people you hand your profile to.

Show stats

Show stats controls whether your public profile displays your aggregate figures - totals and the like - or keeps them to yourself. It applies to the profile others see, not to your own view of your data.

Blocking

You can block another driver from their profile or from a comment thread. A block keeps them off your drives and away from you. Your block list lives in Settings → Privacy and you can lift a block there any time.

Routes near home are trimmed for you

Sharing a drive should never quietly reveal where you live. Marque trims the very start and end of a route around sensitive places before that route is ever stored or shown - so the map, the little route thumbnail on your feed, and any exported video all begin and end a safe distance from the door.
